Corporate Headshots are the human side of any business. Let us help you put your best foot forward with a great headshot. We set up small studio in your office if you would like a background (white, gray, black ir a colour) or we can use somewhere outdoors that will suit.
For some people the thought of being photographed can really bother them. We try and make it quick and painless. If we know what you are hoping to get from the shot we can be set up and ready for you. Planning what look and feel you might like is a good start. Here are a few tips for getting the best out of your session.
Pick a style
1 Do you want a corporate feel? A plain background will work best for this.
-White or Gray backgrounds give a light fresh look
-Black backgrounds tend to grab the attention of the viewer and makes the subject stand out more.
- A colour for a background can be something that lends itself to matching in with your website, social media platforms or logo.
2 Do you want something that shows what your company is? This would be on location showing your offices or shop in the background. It comes across a little less formal than the Corporate style.
3 Do you want something that is more colourful?
This would be shot somewhere that you choose. There are plenty of places that are good around the city for this. We can help you pick somewhere if you need. This come across very casual and easy going.
What to wear?
After you have picked a style your wardrobe comes next. Dress to impress with keeping the shoot style in mind. If you're going with a white background maybe consider a darker top so it's not all to bright. Of course the same applies to a dark background with a brighter top.
Most of the time this is just a head and shoulders but we would suggest having your bottom half photo ready also. This is just so we can be a bit more flexible while shooting.
Ladies
A V nec top or shirt with long or three quarter length sleeves will be the most flattering. If you want to wear a shirt try and have a structured collar. It will sit better than a floaty material.
Have a blazer or jacket to pop on for a different look.
Only wear your normal amount of makeup. I know you may want to go and ave t done and they will be great. Just make sure you look like yourself.
Hair is the same as your a makeup. Have it nice and styled but something that looks like you. If you have picked and outdoor shoot always go for your hair up, off your face and sprayed so it doesn't move. There is nothing worse than liking a photo but there is hair in your face.
Jewellery can make a statement so think about that as you pick your outfit. If its too big or blingy it may distract from you. Go with something understated unless you're looking for a more funky shot.
Men
A nice crisp collar shirt is always going to be great. We would have a few to pick from, Maybe stay away from very bright white. Pale blues or pinks work great for the darked backgrounds and navy or dark colour for the light backgrounds. For an outdoor shoot keep it simple and no patterns.
We would say bring a tie, it might not be the style you're going for at the moment but it's good to have one on file in case you might need it later.
The same goes for a blazer, do some with and some without.
